In the National Football League, the Philadelphia Eagles are dominating the competition with their 9-1 record.  They currently have the best record in the NFL and are set to capture the NFC East Divisional crown. The Eagles rise to victory week after week and have only lost one game to the Kansas City Chiefs, 27-20. This season for the Eagles has been one full of highlights and great wins. Perhaps one of the biggest wins was over the New York Giants when the score was tied, 24-24. The Philadelphia Eagles had just signed rookie kicker, Jake Elliott to replace injured star kicker Caleb Sturgis.  Elliott wound up making a 61 yard winning field goal to make the final score 27-24 Eagles.

The Eagles season has also featured some dominating wins.  Philadelphia took on the Denver Broncos on November 5, which both teams heading into the game featured the number 1 and 2 ranked defense. It seemed that this would be a low scoring affair, however, all conventional wisdom could be thrown out during this crazy game. Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, Carson Wentz, led his team to a 51-23 over the Broncos. The team had a score of 31 points by the end of the first half alone. Although both teams had great plays, the Eagles were able to execute each play in their favor making many plays that picked up a large amount of yardage. The Eagles offensive line prevented the normally successful Denver’s defense from ever touching their prized second year quarterback. This game proved the Eagle’s dominance heading into the bye week.

Upon returning from the bye, the Eagles continued right where they left off with a convincing Sunday Night Prime Time win versus the division rival Dallas Cowboys.  The Eagles offense and defense was flying high and allowed the Eagles to roll to a 37-9 victory at AT &T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.  If the Eagles keep playing like this, they are surely on their way to an appearance in this year’s Superbowl.  Fly Eagles, Fly!
