During the months of March and April “Mean Girls the Musical” will be filmed right here in Middletown, New Jersey. 

It is known that the movie will be filmed at Mater Dei Prep School, which permanently closed in June of 2022. The casting company, “Grant Wilfley Casting”, is based out of Manhattan, NY. Covid testing was necessary for all those who planned to audition for a role. 

“Mean Girls the Musical ” is based on the Tony-nominated Broadway show Mean Girls. It will be produced by Lorne Michaels and Tiny Fey and will stream on Paramount+. It is not certain which actors will be featured in the film, but there is speculation that Angourie Rice, Renee Rap and Auli’i Cravalho will star.

This February, the company casted extras. Their goal is to portray what a real high school student body looks like. They were willing to hire anyone who could add diversity and authenticity to the film.

Additionally, the company is looking for teenagers who can skateboard or longboard. No previous acting experience is needed to audition. Compensation will be provided for these roles.
