During the months of April and May, the Middletown High School North Peer leaders hosted a student-staff cornhole tournament.  Each team featured a student pairing up with a MHSN Staff member using real boards and bags for an authentic experience.

This year’s tournament winners were Mrs Schalnat and Bobby Kimball who defeated the very skilled Coach Convey and Braden Marcotte by the score of 21-19.

The MHSN Peer Leaders under Mrs. Jennifer Smith’s guidance, gathered all of the boards, bags and updated the bracket to make this tournament run smooth.  Games were featured in the Upper Gym during blocks 3 and 4 while playing tournament style.

Teams were placed into pools with designated play-by dates. Each team was responsible for organizing their play schedule and reported winners to Mrs. Smith.  Following pool play, teams were seeded for single elimination bracket play.

The number of teams added this year was a great success and the MHSN Peer Leaders will look to build on the momentum gained this year.
