Middletown North Flag Football ROARING!

The Middletown High School North girls flag football team is off to a roaring start to their 2023 campaign. The Lions under Head Coach Stepehn Bush have jumped out to a record of 4-0, with wins against Central Regional, Holmdel, Matawan and Raritan. The Lions have outscored their opponents 170-70 during their stretch to open the season.

The Lions are led by returning starting quarterback Valentina Fanetti who is a three-year starter for the Lady Lions., Fanetti led Middletown North to an undefeated regular season during the 2022 campaign and fell short to Shore Regional in the Championship Game. Fanetti has been solid for the Lions, including her amazing performance versus Central Regional in which she threw seven touchdown passes in the Lions’ season-opening 53-20 win.

The Lions also return Aimee Tanglao (WR/RB) who is a three-year starter on both sides of the ball and Julia Jensen (OLB) who is considered one of Middletown North’s best defensive players, according to Head Coach Stephen Bush.
