TINDALL PARK – On April 2, 2025 cross town rivals Middletown North and Middletown South boys tennis teams played a competitive match resulting in a 3-2 victory for North. Wins include first singles, Patrick Buonacquista (MN) defeating Edward Colangelo (MS), 6-0 6-0, first doubles Sherlock and Cunningham (MN) defeating Olmeda and McGimpsey (MS) 6-3 6-3 and clinching the win, third singles, Jason Migliore (MN) defeated Tanish Kapur Sarma 6-2  7(7) 5 (5). 

Third singles was the last match, creating tension among the crowd as this ultimately determined who claimed victory. Migliorie was able to secure the win by staying consistent with his serves and moving his opponent around the court, strategically placing his shots in tough positions for his opponent. He pushed himself every point and fought until the last ball each rally. 

This victory sets the Lions at a starting record of 1-1. This match followed their 0-5 loss against Manalapan on March 31. However, this win has boosted the team’s morale, setting them up for a successful season to come. The boys face Wall Township on April 4, 2025 at 3:45 PM at Wall. Come out to support them!
