Middletown, NJ — The Middletown High School North boys golf team is enjoying a strong and steady season under the leadership of Head Coach Brett Laskowitz, posting an impressive 6-3-1 overall record and a 3-2-1 mark in the competitive Shore Conference’s Snead Division.
Blending experienced upperclassmen with a deep group of underclassmen, the Lions have demonstrated consistency and resilience on the course. Coach Laskowitz has emphasized fundamentals, composure, and teamwork—qualities that have translated into close matches and key divisional results.
Junior standout Christian Balletto has emerged as a leader for the squad, helping set the tone with strong performances and steady play. Fellow juniors Charlie Beekman and Nathaniel Gennarelli have also contributed valuable rounds, providing the team with a reliable core.
The Lions’ depth is bolstered by a talented sophomore class, including Jack Emerick, Alex Chaknis, Rob Sutton, Kellen Harris, Victor Boyadjian, and Jameson Dratch. Their development throughout the season has been critical, as Middletown North has relied on multiple contributors to secure victories in tight matches.
Adding to the team’s versatility is Sam Noone, a junior representing MAST, whose contributions have strengthened the lineup. Freshman Zachary Whitehead (MAST) rounds out the roster, gaining valuable experience in his first varsity campaign and showing promise for the future.
With the season moving into its latter stages, Middletown North remains in position to make a push within the division. If the Lions continue their balanced scoring and steady improvement, they could prove to be a formidable contender down the stretch.
As Coach Laskowitz and his squad keep their focus on consistency and growth, the Middletown North golf program continues to build momentum—one round at a time.
