Middletown, NJ – Under the leadership of Coach Tiffany Kenney, the Middletown High School North Lady Lions Varsity Bowling team has enjoyed a season to remember. With an impressive 11 wins to their name, the Lady Lions clinched the coveted 2024-25 B-North Division Championship, marking a major accomplishment for the team.
The Lions’ season was highlighted by victories against several tough opponents, including Long Branch (three times), Shore Regional (three times), Red Bank Regional (three times), Middletown South, and Monmouth Regional. The team’s consistent success was powered by strong individual performances across the board.
Key players included senior captain Juliana Stone, who not only led her team but also posted the highest scores of the season. Stone averaged 166 pins per game, with a high score of 203. Alongside her, captain Maya Sabatino contributed an average of 112 pins and a top score of 162. Another captain, Alexis Hulisizer, finished the season with an average of 119 and a high score of 182. Ashley Lopez, with an average of 113 and a high of 164, also delivered strong performances. Sophomore Mia Gosha rounded out the core of the team, with an average of 103 and a high of 113.
Thanks to their hard work and determination, the Lions secured their place in the NJSIAA North Jersey Group 3 State Tournament, where they will continue their pursuit of further glory.
