Super Bowl LIX, America’s 59th Super Bowl, will take place on Sunday, February 9 at 6:20 PM. The Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs will be going face to face in New Orleans at Caesars Superdome.
The Eagles have appeared in the Super Bowl four times, securing a win in 2018. The Chiefs have appeared in the Super Bowl six times and are currently aiming for a fifth victory. The two teams met in the 2023 Super Bowl when the Chiefs won 38-35.
For many viewers, the aspect of the game they are most interested in isn’t always the football – it’s the halftime show. This Super Bowl, rapper Kendrick Lamar will be performing, alongside special guest SZA. Kendrick Lamar was first included in the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show with rapper Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Eminem. He is a 22-time Grammy winner, five of which were earned at the February 2 Grammys this year. Many fans are excited to watch Kendrick Lamar’s return to the stage during America’s biggest sporting event. Fans are also anxious to see five-time Grammy winner SZA’s first Super Bowl performance.
Another popular aspect of the Super Bowl is the commercials. Many celebrities will be featured in this year’s biggest night of commercials such as Post Malone, Peyton and Eli Manning, Hailee Steinfeld, Charli XCX, Martha Stewart, Pete Davidson, Gordon Ramsey and many more. Be on the lookout to see which commercials are your favorite this year!
