Each year the Shore Conference of High Schools Sportsmanship Awards program recognizes 94 student-athletes who best represent the ideals of sportsmanship in their respective schools. Schools from Monmouth and Ocean County choose two athletes from each senior class that demonstrate the highest level of sportsmanship. This year Middletown High School North was represented by two amazing student athletes in Avery Mattos and Luke Sheehan.
Mattos and Sheehan are beining honored for their athletic talent as well as for being role models to their peers. Both of these student-athletes possess all of the characteristics that best represent Middletown High School North and the entire Middletown community.
Mattos(Field Hockey/Lacrosse) and Sheehan(Football/Basketball) are multiple sport athletes that have demonstrated a sense of class, sportsmanship and an infectious love for the sports they play. Bothhave led their programs to success which is a testament to their unyielding work ethic and commitment tobeing the best version of themselves.
Congratulations to these two amazing Lions on representing the “Orange & Black”, as well as their teachers, coaches, parents, and families for supporting them through their four years at Middletown High School North.
