MIDDLETOWN, NJ – The Middletown North Lady Lions softball team started their 2024 campaign with a 5-2 victory over the Howell Rebels on April 4. With a young returning nucleus, along with senior leaders Gabriella Welton, Amanda Ellison and Taylor Cirigliano.

Junior catcher Adrianna Lisotto led the offensive attack with three hits while driving in one run for Middletown North. The Lady Lions cracked the game open in the fourth inning when they scored three runs.

Junior Brianna Soto went 2-for-4 with an RBI and Hailey Keiser was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI for Middletown North. Junior Natalie Trezza also had two hits with a run batted in.

The Lions controlled the game behind the arm of winning pitcher Madilynn Boyce.  Boyce struck out 14 batters while walking two and scattering seven hits.
