Middletown North Vs Middletown South Hockey Set For Opening Night

The Middletown High School North Hockey Team, who are the defending Group B State Champions, surprised the State of New Jersey when they went on an unbelieveable playoff run to end their previous season. The Lions started the 2022-23 campaign with a record of 4-4-4 before hitting their stride and becoming champions at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

The Lions will look to start their 2023 campaign with a win, as they face off against their crosstown rival, the Middletown High School South Eagles on December 7, 2023. The Lions have lost some key members of their championship team to graduation, but will depend on the leadership of All-Shore selection Ryan Cook in addition to Jack Turner and Joseph Wall.

The Lions and Eagles will face off at 6:00 PM at the Middletown Ice Hockey Center.
