On January 20, 2023, Middletown North varsity ice hockey (6-4-4) took the win over Monroe Township (10-3) with a final score of 6-5.

Middletown took a 5-3 lead after Andrew Gross scored in the second period. However, Monroe tied up the game at 5-5 when Nickolas Izzo scored his third goal of the game.  In the third period, the game-winning goal for Middletown North was scored by Thomas Baron, assisted by Aiden Thede and Mike Botti.

Brendan Costello and Andrew Gross each also scored within the first period, as well. Goalie Luke Chrzan saved 26 out of 31 shots on goal, which left Monroe with only a 16% chance of scoring. 

The boys have important games coming up against RFH, CBA and Cranford.  Be sure to come out and support the team!
