As we all are aware, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month & FCCLA would like your participation in our Little Pink Pumpkin Design Contest!   The contest was designed to promote and support not only our community & the Breast Intentions organization but our school community as well!

The contest will be a school wide contest in which Teachers or their specific classes or clubs will participate in the decorating, presentation, display and fundraising for the Breast Intentions organization.  All proceeds collected will go to benefit the Breast Intention organization. 

Each teacher, class, or co-curricular club will be responsible for providing the pumpkin and art supplies for the contest.  FCCLA will drop off a pink box to begin fundraising collections by 10/7 to you.  You will have from September 27th-October 7th to design your pumpkins.  This includes selecting a theme involving the color PINK & an inspirational message representative of the cause matching your theme!  This is a great opportunity for your classes or clubs to work together & design something for a great cause! (see photo examples below for inspiration).  Please note, ALL DISPLAYS MUST BE MOVEABLE.  FCCLA and its advisors will host voting at our pink out football game on October 7th and staff voting in the main office so displays need to move from your classrooms to these locations.  

You will have 1 week (10/17-10/21) to raise money in your classrooms for Breast Intentions.  We will have the pumpkins on display in the main lobby from 10/24-10/28 for staff voting.   Our FCCLA students will deliver collection boxes to those interested in participating on Friday 10/14.  

Key Contest Dates to keep in mind: 

• Design Window: 9/27-10/7
• Voting at the Pink Out Football Game: 10/7 (FCCLA will pick up your displays, set up a table & presentation in the stadium)
• Voting in classrooms: 10/11-10/14
• Voting in the lobby: 10/17-10/21
• Winners 1st, 2nd, & 3rd announced on Friday 10/28!
