Middletown North Hockey Special Needs Skate Returns
After an amazing hockey season that saw the Middletown North Lions return to the NJSIAA Championship, the Lions also returned to one of their yearly traditions in hosting their annual special needs skate with kids from the Middletown Township School District. The event was hosted by Head Coach Don Wood and his entire program on April 29, 2022 at the Middletown Sports Complex on Harmony Road.
After nearly two years of delays because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lions program returned and featured many smiles on the faces of all of those that participated. The interaction between the players and the studentes was authentic, touching and truly shows the special bond in the Middletown community. These young Lions have not only been successful on the ice, but have also led by example to show what a role model truly is.
