The Middletown North Wrestling Program continued their success with five of their wrestlers advancing to the Region Tournament, following Saturday’s NJSIAA District 20 Tournament. The Lions saw advancements from the following matches:
106 pounds-#2-Brady Klinsky, Middletown North d. #1-Richard Gomez, Matawan, 8-5
120 pounds- #4-Justin Fearon, Middletown North p. #5-Ernie Botteon, Highland Park, 0:39
126 pounds- #2-Colin Oden, Middletown North p. #3-Trevor Learn, Red Bank Catholic, 1:16.
144 pounds- #4-Matthew Castelli, Middletown North d. #5-Dan Conroy, Red Bank Catholic, 12-8
157 pounds- #3-Shaun Sullivan, Middletown North p. #2-William Huhn, Keansburg, 3:59
Brady Klinsky won the 106 pound overall championship and was named the District 20 Most Outstanding Wrestler.
