Earlier this week the Middletown High School North Lions and Middletown High School South Eagles girls soccer programs came together for a common goal on the campus of High School South, using an annual rivalry showdown to battle against pediatric cancer.

Though Middletown South delivered a 1-0 win on a second half goal by Grace Gironda, the first of the freshman’s career, the collective victory comes in the form of a donation to the Go4TheGoal Foundation, a Cherry Hill, NJ non-profit organization on a mission to improve the lives of children fighting cancer by offering financial support, granting personal wishes, funding innovative research, and developing and implementing unique hospital programs.
