Midd North Boys Lacrosse Clinches Spot in Shore Conference
Although the end of the week turned out to be great for Middletown High School North’s boys lacrosse team, it did not start out that way. At the beginning of the week, the team lost to Toms River East 7-3, followed by a 12-7 loss to Colts Neck.
However, the team came back and beat New Egypt 5-1, as junior Quinn Aker contributed one goal and two assists and sophomore Pete Abbes had two goals and one assist.
The team also won big on Monday as they beat Toms River South 7-4 to finally clinch a spot in the Shore Conference Tournament for the first time since 2015.
While varsity has been up and down, JV has been very consistent. They are on a three game-winning streak, led by freshman Paul Reinhold and junior Justin Kroeper, who had a hat trick against Colts Neck.
With all of these records, it will be interesting to see how the team plays under the pressure of the Shore Conference.
