North Defeats South
On Thursday, October 12th at the turf, Middletown North’s Lady Lions stepped up to the plate and led a memorable 1-0 shutout against South. The stands were filled with fans on Thursday to come out to support the nail biting game.
In the middle of the first half Katelyn Reid (Sophomore forward) crossed it to Darien Rinn (Sophomore forward) setting up the ultimate finish to a goal. Haley Martin (Junior goalie) had a total of eight saves. Coach Misciagna reminisces on the win, “I think the girls improved from their previous game against South, their decision making during the game was much better as well as their effort. They truly wanted to be there.” She then goes on to describe their excitement about the game explaining how she was proud that they achieved their goals.
This puts them at a remarkable 9-4 record guaranteeing them a spot in the conference division and an overall record of 11-5. With season games coming to an end on Monday, this is only the start to the playoffs, and as we know, the girls are in it to win it this season, so keep up the support!
