The Kickoff
The start of the 2017-2018 soccer season began with the boys soccer team winning the first three games of the season. Defeating Wall Township, Westfield High School, and Red Bank Catholic High School, the varsity boys soccer team has shown how dangerous they can be.
The first game of the season against RBC (Red Bank Catholic High School) was a well fought victory winning 4 goals to 1. With goals by Liam McGregor, Ryan Binn, Ryan Mara, and Ryan Rhatigan, their strength dominated the field providing confidence and light for the season.
The second game against Westfield High School was predicted that Middletown North would lose. The boys stepped up and proved everyone wrong. Winning their game against these rigorous opponents, fighting to the very last second the boys pulled a 1 goal to North victory scored by Liam Mcgregor to give them the win.
Traveling out to Wall township the team put their boots on prepared for their next battle. By the first half, Wall Township was up in the scoreboard. That did not stop the Lions- the final score being four North and 2 Wall Township giving North another win on the record.
With an amazing start to the season the momentum is with Middletown North and with the long season ahead they will need it to help them with Shore Conference, and maybe even States.
