Music can bring back happy memories and is often an important part of family traditions, especially during the holidays. Things like listening to music while decorating a tree or singing during a holiday or religious event helps create memories and everlasting bonds.

As the holiday season approaches, people are starting to get in the spirit and what better way to get into the spirit than to listen to some music. Here are the top ten songs people should be listening to this holiday season.

The most popular song of the season, which comes to no surprise for many is ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ by Mariah Carey. The song has one billion streams on Spotify and made 4.3 million dollars on just Spotify alone. The song has made Carey 72 million dollars in total and around 2.6 million dollars annually. After its initial release in 1994, the song has still stayed relevant over the course of three decades and is named the most streamed Christmas song on the platform.

The next song is ‘Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree’ by Brenda Lee which has 193 million streams across all platforms. The song was originally recorded by Brenda Lee when she was 13 years old and then adapted by many modern artists. The third song is Jingle Bell Rock by Bobby Helms which has over 300 million streams on spotify alone and sold 100 million copies all while also featuring in many popular movies that all made over $100 million in box office receipts.

Other songs like ‘The Christmas Song’, ‘A Holly Jolly Christmas’, ‘Feliz Navidad’, ‘It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year’, ‘Last Christmas’, and ‘White Christmas’ are also featured in the top 10 on the Billboard Magazine’s ‘Greatest of All Time Holiday 100 Songs’. These songs have been around for decades and have still remained prominent to this day.
