Candy canes have been around for over 250 years.  They started out as just one flavor, peppermint, but throughout the years many different brands have decided to put their own spins on the classic Christmas treat.

Various brands such as Lemon Head, Smarties, Dum Dums and many more have provided people with more options to choose from in order to satisfy everyone’s taste buds.

Novelty company Archie McPhee has recently come out with a new flavor of candy canes that has been the topic of much debate. This curious new flavor is ‘mac and cheese’.  

The product description reads, “Taste the cheesy goodness: Christmas can be a tough time for someone who isn’t that into sweets. If you’re the savory sort, you might prefer the cheesy goodness of our Mac and Cheese Candy Canes.”

Other candy cane flavors of 2018 include bacon, pickle, wasabi, birthday cake and gravy.  Year after year, companies get more creative in delivering candy cane flavors and 2018 has surely not been a disappointment.
