Don’t know what to write in your Christmas cards? Feel like you keep writing the same thing? Well, here are some phrases you can use in your cards this year and for many years to come.
First, you can start with their name and say “Merry Christmas….!” or “Happy Holidays….” This can be followed by “I hope that you are doing well”. If you believe that is too formal you can go with “I hope that you get everything that you want this year!”
Moving into the body section of your letter, you can talk about something that recently happened or recall a memory you shared. You can express your feelings about this moment and state that you hope to share more lasting memories in the future.
Don’t forget that New Years is also coming up! Be sure to wish the person you are writing to a Happy New Year. If that is too repetitive, another option could be to say something along the lines of “I hope that all of your New Year’s goals come true!”
Depending on your relationship with the individual, there are different ways to end your card. Some options include the following: “Love, Sincerely, From, Keeping you in our hearts, Missing you now more than ever, Sending our love this holiday season, Cherishing our holiday memories, Love always, Remembering Christmases past, Gratefully yours” and lastly “Keeping you in our hearts”.
I hope you find this information helpful this holiday season!
Sample Letter
Merry Christmas _____,
I hope that you get everything you want this year and more.
I remember when we went ice skating in the park. You slipped and went sliding across the rink. We both laughed so hard. I will never forget this. I hope to share many more memories like this with you!
Also, I hope you and your family have a Happy New Year! Wishing you all the best this holiday season.
Love,
Hailey
