On June 17, 2022, Middletown High School North formally opened up its very own “Wellness Den”. Students and staff gathered at 1 PM in the CRC room of the library media center for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The renovation of the CRC, the design and layout of the room and the funding came from multiple sources including the Facilities Department, the Restorative Justice Committee members and the High School North PFA.

The “Wellness Den” offers a very calming and stress-free environment for students and staff. Upon entry, you will notice serene and tranquil lighting, as well as soft music playing in the background. There are different seating arrangements for everyone to enjoy – couches, beanbags, cushions and chairs. There is also a conference table for students and staff to utilize if they need to work in a peaceful setting.

The “Wellness Den” is a positive addition to the school. Everyone could use a little zen this time of year!
