Fall Break Arrives

Fall Break Arrives

Kristy Daly, Staff Writer

The ten-day fall recess for the 2018-19 school year began when students of Middletown North left Friday, November 2 and it will end when they return to their classes Monday, November 12. Every year the students are given the first week of November off from school, which is marked as the first real break of the year.

Friday afternoon also wrapped up the first marking period.  Students will be entering marking period two upon their return to school.  All work for marking period one should be handed in and students should see their teachers with any final questions they may have about their grades.  Final grades for the marking period will be submitted by teachers on Wednesday, November 14.

Numerous local elections took place over the break and students over 18  were anxious to cast their votes for the first time.

Many students decided to spend this year’s fall break with their families, going on planned trips or simply relaxing at home.  Others spent time with their friends and went to see a new movie in the theaters or just enjoyed a casual lunch outing.

Overall, Middletown students definitely made the most of their time off.  Rest up and get ready for marking period two!
