PARCC Testing Has Arrived

PARCC Testing Has Arrived

Danica Santiago, Staff Writer

It’s that time of year again: that one week of spring which students dread– the week full of standardized testing. This week, many students of MHSN will be doing standardized testing, and for those students who aren’t, please enjoy your extra hours of sleep because you’ll get to come in later than everyone else.

Many students willingly admit to not even trying to do well on these tests and that they fill in answers just to finish faster. This is understandable, since no one enjoys sitting in silence in those tests rooms for so long. However, the standardized tests will affect you in the future. For example, they may help determine what classes students will take the following year.

So while it is much easier to just write down a random answer and move on, it will be much more beneficial to actually try to answer. For those students who are actually going to put in effort on these tests: good luck and study hard! Your efforts will be rewarded.

The PARCC schedule will be as follows:

7:36-9:45 — Testing

9:50-10:36 — Block 1

10:41-11:07 — Block 3

11:12-11:38 — Block 4

11:43-12:30 — Block 2

12:35-1:21 — Block 5

1:26-2:13 — Block 6
