The annual Haunted Woods event is this Saturday, October 15, and there are plenty of spooks and tricks in store.

The senior class fundraiser adopted the theme of “Haunted High School,” featuring everything from the horror stories of history to the night shift janitors. Normally a senior privilege activity, the fundraiser was opened up to all grade levels in order to rack in the most interest factor.

Being that Haunted Woods is an incredibly anticipated event in the Middletown community, the participants and senior and junior council members have been preparing since the beginning of the school year. Clean ups of Tindall Park, budget meetings and supplies gathering have all been in the works for weeks in order to promise a horrifically intriguing event.

“We had taken a few meetings to decide on a theme that was fresh and could be interpreted in many ways. Haunted High School seemed like a theme that offered many different skits, but still remained relatable, which I think makes the setup even scarier,” senior participant Paige Straniero says.

The trail opens at dawn and closes at 10 PM, and admission is $5.
