Middletown, NJ — Middletown High School North proudly marked its annual Decision Day on May 1, a nationwide milestone when high school seniors finalize their post-secondary plans. The day served as a celebration of the Class of 2026 and the exciting paths students will take after graduation.
Seniors were encouraged to wear attire representing their next step—whether that included a college or university, trade school, military branch, or future career in the workforce. The halls of Middletown North were filled with school colors, logos, and uniforms, symbolizing the diverse and ambitious futures of its graduating class.
Faculty and staff joined in the celebration by wearing apparel from their own alma maters, showing solidarity and support for the seniors as they prepare for life beyond high school. The shared display of pride created a strong sense of community throughout the building.
Middletown High School North is incredibly proud of all our students. Each student’s journey is unique, and we celebrate those pursuing two-year schools, four-year colleges, apprenticeships, military service, or entering directly into the workforce.
A highlight of the day came at 9:50 a.m., when seniors gathered in the school courtyard for a commemorative group photo, capturing a moment that marks both an ending and a beginning.
Decision Day is just one of many events leading up to graduation for the Class of 2026. Middletown North will continue its senior celebrations in the coming weeks, culminating in the official graduation ceremony on Thursday, June 18 at 1:30 p.m.
While May 1 is a single day, it represents years of hard work, growth, and determination. For Middletown North’s seniors, Decision Day is not just about choosing a future—it’s about celebrating how far they’ve come and looking ahead to all that lies ahead.
