3) How will I know what dogs/puppies are available for adoption?
All of our available dogs and puppies can be found on our website and on Facebook. We are always updating the website, so keep checking back.
4) What’s the process for adoption?
Once you find a puppy or dog you’re interested in, fill out an adoption application and turn it in. Our Adoption Counselor will review your application, check your references, and be in touch to arrange a home visit. If you have other pets we will bring your Potential New Best Friend to your home (or a neutral spot) so we can introduce the Fur Kids and make sure everyone is on board for their new family member. This process can take a few days depending on schedules, so be patient and remember – Great things are worth waiting for!
5) Can I fill out an adoption application and be a Pre-Approved Adopter?
Yes! If we do not have the perfect dog for you right now, you can go ahead and submit your application to become pre-approved. We’ll get all our pre-match checks done ahead of time so when you find the dog you want, you’ll be ready to go!
6) Do you still need foster homes?
YES PLEASE!!!! We always need foster homes, for both adult dogs and puppies. We also need short-term foster homes to care for dogs just coming into our foster. They need 2 weeks to rest and for us to be sure they are healthy before they can be placed for adoption. Please email us at [email protected] or call Tammy at 908-433-1796 if you are interested in fostering!
