The Week of Respect in New Jersey in 2024 will be from Monday, October 7 to Friday, October 11. The week is designated by the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act and is celebrated in all public schools in New Jersey. During the Week of Respect, Middletown High School North will provide age-appropriate instruction and activities to promote kindness and inclusion, and to prevent bullying, harassment, and intimidation. The week also coincides with National Bullying Prevention Month, which takes place in October each year.
The purpose of Week of Respect is to focus on:
- Ways to prevent, identify, and report bullying and cyber-bullying
- Ways to improve the school environment to promote positive relationships among students
