Middletown High School North Seniors Daniela Laranjeiro and Olivia Zrebiec were nominated and are the 2024 recipients of Italian Scholarships through the Italian Teachers Association of New Jersey, as well as Coccia Foundation for outstanding academic performance.
The Coccia Foundation’s website states “The essential goal of the Foundation is not only to promote awareness of Italian and Italian American culture, history, and societal contributions, but to celebrate and preserve these areas for younger generations of Italian Americans in the United States, as well as those of other backgrounds and ethnicities who are interested in discovering all things Italian. ”
Daniela Laranjeiro and Olivia Zrebiec have been dedicated to Italian under the guidance of teacher Mrs. Julia Fielding for the past four years while at Middletown High School North. Not only studying and communicating in Italian, but also serving as organizers in many fundraisers conducted through the Italian Honor Society.
Mrs. Fielding stated that “Daniela and Olivia were nominated for their outstanding work in Italian over four years and I am very proud…bravissime!”
Congratulations Daniela Laranjeiro and Olivia Zrebiec on being recipients of the 2024 Italian Scholarships through ITANJ and the Coccia Foundation.
