Middletown North Trio Earns Rank of Eagle Scout
Middletown High School North students Vankata Chalamalsetty, Daniel Pitzer and Cristian Saravia recently earned their Eagle Scout ranking by the Boy Scouts of America. The rank of Eagle Scout is the highest achievement attainable in the Boy Scouts of America program and according to the organization only four percent of scouts have achieved this rank since it was established in 1911.
By earning this exemplary achievement, Vankata, Chalamlsetty and Pitzer join a fraternity of approximately 2.5 million Eagle Scouts, including four Nobel Prize laureates, 12 Medal of Honor recipients and more than 40 astronauts.
According to the website www.nesa.org, “The National Eagle Scout Association recognizes Eagle Scouts with awards for leadership, service, and distinctive professional accomplishments.” Congratulations to Vankata, Dan and Cristian on their wonderful accomplishment.
