Lions Baseball Defeats No. 3 Marlboro

The Middletown North Lions baseball team got a big division win on Monday, April 18th against Marlboro by the score of 6 to 5. The Lions came into the game with a 3-4 record after starting the season 0-4. The Mustangs entered Monday ranked 3rd in the Shore Sports Network Top 10.

Sophomore Garrett French started for the Lions and got through 4 and ⅓ innings before being relieved by senior Hunter Rinn. Senior Phil Pecherski and sophomore Tyler Ras also pitched, with both getting out of jams with men on base.
The game was tied at 5 going into the bottom of the 7th. Ras got on base and senior third baseman Kyle Capo drove a walk-off double into the gap, scoring Ras and giving the Lions their 4th straight win.
