Counterpoint Highlights Student Writing

Counterpoint Highlights Student Writing

The school’s Counterpoint for 2016 was recently published. Counterpoint is the half-year literary magazine published  every year to showcase students’ literary work and artwork. It features short stories, poems, paintings and much more from students right here at North.

One piece that really stuck out to me this year was on page two. It is a poem called “When We Were Young” by Sarah Nelson.

The poem talks about life and what may happen when we die. It left me thinking about what does happen when we die.

One other short piece that really stuck out to me was on page four called “Memories,” by Justine Cateneo. This piece also really made me think about people, and how often we walk by tons of people everyday but we never really know what’s happening to them.

This piece tells you to look into their eyes and you can see all their history, and a whole life lived their.
