With January around the corner, 2016 is definitely looking like the year for hyped up geeks. With “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” out in theaters, nerds everywhere are looking forward to what other amazing new things 2016 has to offer – including the newest line-up of video games coming in the next few months.

One of many planned video games to be released is the newest edition to the Fire Emblem saga. Though it doesn’t have an official name just yet, the game is already looks exciting for fans of the stories with in the game series.

The last game, “Fire Emblem: Awakening” featured careful strategy-based battles, lovable characters, and yes, even romance options your playable character, canonly named “Robin” in both Fire Emblem and the newest Smash Brothers game, could pair off with. However, unlike the last game, the newest Fire Emblem will feature your customized character as the main character, rather than a lackey to the main character of the last game, Chrom. There will also be multiple characters to build relationships with (coming with a feature similar to “Pokemon Amie” in the games Pokemon X and Y), and a choice of two kingdoms that change the entire story for you completely depending on your choices.

For both anime fans and fans of strategy games, the newest addition to the Fire Emblem saga is looking incredibly promising. However, will it shine when compared to the newest Mass Effect game, “Mass Effect: Andromeda”, or “Final Fantasy XV”? Only time will tell.
