The 7th installment of the ‘Fast and Furious’ series raced into theaters about three weeks ago on April 3rd. The previous six films saw the rag-tag team of racers go into cities such as Tokyo, Los Angeles, and also cities all over the world.
It was an immediate hit with it’s target audience of teens and young adults due to its heart stopping action, adrenaline-rising bouts with enemies, and also the family bond it creates between a group of tight-knit friends who do what they love together.
The main focal point of this film was the fact that one of its most beloved stars, Paul Walker, died midway through production. He was the victim of a vicious car crash which took his life at the young age of 40. This sent shockwaves not only through the people he worked with, but also the movies’ fanbase.
Many people took to social media to express their sadness and heartbreak, while other members of the film’s cast recalled fond memories of him, and realized how much joy he brought to the film industry and the series itself.
Fast Seven’s plot goes as the previous six, the team gets into some trouble, they use cars and other weapons to take down their enemies.
Director James Wan did a great job with the stunt scenes and really bringing the true meaning of the series to life.
The movie closes with a touching tribute to Walker, and also features Vin Diesel, who was one of his closest friends and was a brother figure.
Overall, the movie was well put together and presented just good enough to make it worth seeing.
