Last Wednesday, the swimmers of Middletown High School North held their annual swimming banquet in the North Library. The night was filled with laughs, awards, and goodbyes.

Swimmers arrived around 5:00 and shortly after the coaches, Mr. Eric Hoblitzell and Miss. Karen Dooley, began to hand out the awards. Varsity letters were given out to all of those who had an outstanding season.

The coach’s awards were also given out and were awarded to Anastasia Shekhter and Brianna Ciampa.

The MVP awards were handed to Mark Knoll and Mara Haeger. They were given this award for their dedication, hard work, and constant effort and good spirit while being a part of the team.

Seniors were also gifted with pillowcases with their names inscribed on them so that they will always remember their time on the Middletown North Swimming team.

Pizza and soda was provided along with two video montages courtesy of Mrs. Michele Pfleger and Miss. Tara Han.

At the end of the event, all of the seniors presented a gift to their coaches, hugged them, and shed some tears together, as a team, one last time.
