If you ask most people what they were doing last Sunday, they’ll tell you that they were watching the Super Bowl. However, there are a handful of people (such as myself) who sat down to enjoy Puppy Bowl XI on Animal Planet.
If you want a summary of what happened, here’s the basics–puppies played on the field, kitties watched cat videos, hamsters flew in airplanes, and baby goats butted heads on the field. Of course, there were the occasional cuts to the Water Bowl Cam and short clips of some adoptable puppies’ lives, showing how they were raised in shelters around America.
As with every year, Puppy Bowl XI had a happy ending; showing families carrying their newly adopted puppies off to their new homes. Even a lovely little labrador retriever named Drew Carrey was gladly given away by the real human Drew Carrey to an adoptive family on the show ¨The Price is Right¨. Puppy Bowl XI stays true to its purpose–to give puppies of all shapes and sizes another chance at life, and to make kids, teens, and adults alike go ¨awww¨ when the Super Bowl gets a little too intense.
