The final round of postseason baseball is set and ready to kick off. The 110th annual World Series is set to start on October 21st with game one at Ewing M. Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. The world series will showcase two wildcard teams, The Kansas City Royals, and the San Francisco Giants. This is the first time in the three year history of the wildcard that a team who has won the wildcard has gone onto win their respective league, much less both wildcard teams winning their leagues.
The familiar San Francisco Giants are back at it again, this is their third trip to the World Series in the last five years, and they are striving for their third title in these last five years. On the crisp of a dynasty the Giants are well versed in postseason winning and fans should expect nothing less. The Giants were powered over the Saint Louis Cardinals by a walk off homerun in the NLCS by Travis Ishikawa.
On the American League side, the Cinderella Royals look to capture their second World Series title, the last time the won was 29 years ago. The Royals have caught considerable media attention as this postseason they have yet to lose a game starting from the wildcard game. This year alone they are on an 8-game postseason winning streak.
Tune in to FOX on Tuesday the 21st of October to see Kansas City put their 11-game franchise postseason win streak on the line against the veteran San Francisco Giants.
