The new season of The Walking Dead is less than two weeks away and fans can hardly wait to see what happens on the popular show.

Many certainly loved the previous season, with many aspects of the plot finally getting rapped up and story progression that fans hadn’t seen in quite some time on the show. Many were pleased by the mid-season finale that finished the fight with season 3’s antagonist, The Governor and found Rick and his lonely survivors separated, beaten, and lost. While the season finale itself left Rick and his band of follows finally reunited after long weeks of searching for one another.

However, this is a show about the apocalypse and nothing is ever as good as it seems. After searching for the mythical location known as “Terminus” for half of season 4, the group finally finds this supposedly safe haven only to be tricked and locked in a storage crate to await their fate. The season ends here and left many fans wondering what could possibly happen in the upcoming season.

Which is what many have been doing for the past several months. Predicting and putting the puzzle pieces together as to what may happen to the characters and story overall. The season 5 trailer, which was released at Comic Con 2014, showed several clips of the group fighting and running for their lives from both zombies and humans alike.

Story aside, fans are also excited to see what type of zombie action they are going to see within the coming weeks. After all this is a show about the walking dead and would not be complete without some over-the-top makeup artists creating and designing these actors to look just like the walking dead. The show has also gotten more special effects since its original season and has increased its overall funding due to its popularity growth within the past three years.

        Season 5 of The Walking Dead will premiere on October 12, 2014 on AMC.
