Students from all over Middletown and surrounding areas gathered at Brookdale Community College’s Lincoft campus on Thursday, April 24 to experience the annual college fair that allowed many to see what the United States had to offer in terms of college education.
Over one hundred colleges arrived at Brookdale between 4:00 and 6:00 in the afternoon to begin setting up their individual stands within the auditorium. Brochures, informational booklets, and contact information cards that students filled out to give to the college representatives were all available at the booths.
As students entered the auditorium around 6 P.M., they were greeted with many friendly faces, handshakes, and warm smiles. Representatives from every college supplied bountiful amounts of information to every student who visited their table. Students were also allowed to ask as many questions as they wanted and could select which tables they wanted to visit and which ones they did not.
Several popular schools that were surrounded with students the entire night included Northeastern University, Penn State University, and Rutgers.
Students continued to leave and come into the building as they pleased throughout the night. Every college had something to offer and students that were unsure as to where they may want to go after high school finally found several places that they found interesting.
Brookdale’s Spring College Night ended around 8:30 P.M. and will be hosted again next year with the same amount of colleges, if not more, in attendance.
