Cross Country Places 13th Overall at Northeastern Regionals: O’Neill Places Second Overall

  Last Saturday the boys Cross Country team ran in the Northeastern Regional, Tom O’Neill took second place with a time of 15:47 earning his ticket to Oregon for Nationals next Saturday.

  The rest of the runners were Justin Lippert 13th 16:39, Mike Mariano 17:11, Mike Syduka 17:30, Matthew Todaro 18:36, Conor FInn 18:39.

  O’Neill had a bounce back performance from his 10th place finish at the Meet of Champions two Saturdays ago. At the Meet of Champions O’Neill said in an interview with nj.com that he had a “really bad cramp”, but was “happy that his team did so well”.

  The team did achieve their best finish in school history. The team placed fifth at the meet which was right where they were thought to be.

  O’Neill will be going to Nationals for the first time ever for Cross Country. Nationals will be Tom’s last Cross Country meet in High School.

Greg is a huge fan of the DC Universe and the world of Middle-Earth from Lord of the Rings.
