  Middletown North (3-5) clinched their spot in the Central Jersey Group IV State playoffs for the first time since 2009 as they defeated Freehold Twp. (1-7) 33-0. This was also North’s first shutout since 2009. Quarterback Donald Glenn threw another pair of touchdowns in this on to wide-out Jake Betkowski and halfback Chad Freshnock who also ran for another 2 touchdowns and 95 yards. North has really been heating up going into the playoffs as they are 3-1 in their last 4 games as they have outscored their opponents 146-73. The Lions will be a 7 seed taking on No.2 seed Nottingham (5-1) at Nottingham high school this Saturday at 1pm for the first round of the 2013 NJSIAA Central, group 4 playoffs. This win also gives them possession of 4th place in the Class A-North division.
