When I think about how much time has passed since my first day of freshman year, it is actually a scary thought. As I embark on my final year at Middletown HS North, I can’t help but feel a little nostalgic. I look at the faces of those around me and I remember the day we met or the first time we worked together in class. It puts a smile on my class. I have had the privilege of rekindling friendships of the past and having teachers again, all adding to the great experiences thus far.
I can honestly say I have changed a great deal since that first day of 9th grade. But it is not just me. It is the school, the teachers, administrators, students, and the classes too. We have matured. Many of us are now on the path to college and in the process of making one of the quintessential decisions of our lives. I have had a great 3 years here as a freshman, sophomore, and junior and now I look forward to my senior year with open eyes and the intent to have friendships and relationships that last a lifetime. This year will be one of possibility and achievement, one of honor and loyalty, one of win and lose, and one of pride. Lion pride.
