Middletown North Boys Soccer played four games last week against Marlboro, Middletown South, Freehold, and Howell.
In the first game, North was up 1-0 against Marlboro by a goal from Georges Fiori but due to poor weather conditions the game was cancelled.
On Monday the boys played Middletown South away under the lights. North’s offense would not let up and the ball control by the Lions dominted for most of the game. With only a few minutes left in the second half Georges Fiori scored to take the lead 1-0. North’s defense held the lead and won the game 1-0. North’s third game for the week was on Wednesday against Freehold. The Lion’s held a tie of 0-0 throughout the first and second half but unfortunately lost in overtime.
Being 1-1, the Lions had to beat Howell on Friday to be above .500 for the week.
On Friday both Fiori and Ramzi Habiby scored in the game but North lost the game in overtime 3-2.
The North Lions ended the week with a 1-2 record, both losses being nail biters. After two disappointing overtime losses the boys will be playing with some fire as they take on Colts Neck this Tuesday in hopes of reaching .500 again. On Thursday the boys take on CBA and on Saturday RBC.
