The long awaited day has come, as Viewpoint is now available for sale.
Viewpoint, the magazine published by the club of the same name, is an annual magazine released featuring prose, poetry, art, and photography made by the students. The club reviews each piece of work, voting as to whether it qualifies to be published in the magazine, and if it succeeds it is published in the titular magazine towards the end of the year, typically at the beginning of June. However, members of our schools art and literature club faced many difficulties this year.
Due to the club’s late cutoff date for new work to be reviewed for submission, members were rushing to look over and grade each piece. Events where the magazine has been previously sold, such as Senior Awards Night or the Powderpuff Game, had passed by the time of release. However, the efforts of Editors Sydney Forte and Cheyenne Zani, with assistance from art editor Shayna Flynn and adviser Michelle Goldfarb, managed to get the issue out before graduation.
Despite the time constraints and frantic days in the club as graduation neared, Viewpoint was released in time for each member to have his or her work recognized before the end of the year and their possible graduation. If you or friends have a piece in there, or if you’re interested in perusing the contents, Viewpoint is sold in Mrs. Goldfarb’s room, 2214, for $5.
Regardless of the late release date, this year’s Viewpoint still features plenty of excellent pieces, so make sure to get a copy before it’s sold out!
