As the year goes on, many people are getting ready for the end of the marking period, as well as the end of the year. When asked about his feelings for the end of the marking period, Steve Chupcavage said “I am relieved that there is only one more marking period until I leave for college.” This may be the end of the year for everyone, but it is an especially important year for the seniors who are going to be moving on to a new school.
While being extremely excited for the end of the year, others are preparing and attempting to push their grades up. “I’m trying to finish the marking period out strong,” says Middletown North student, Steve Chupcavage, “I’m handing in all of my assignments and trying to do my homework on time.”
For the seniors, as well as handing in school work, some are handing in conformation letters to colleges. This is an especially challenging time for seniors because they are choosing the school they will attend for the next 2-4 years. “I’m just preparing for college and making sure I have the right attitude going in at this point,” Steve finishes. Everyone’s attitude seems to be turning around now that the end of the year is near.
