As the 2012 Middletown North Football season came to a close in preparation of the yearly Homecoming game, the entire school participated in Spirit week. On Tuesday, November 20th, students of several councils and clubs stayed past school hours to decorate their designated hallways. The individual clubs were given all of the same materials in order to be considered for the competition. As usual, each hallway was beautifully decorated and adorned with black and orange decorations.
When students came to school the next morning, the competition was underway. After judging with keeping creativity and best use of materials in mind, the hallway that DECA had decorated was announced as the winners of the 2012 Homecoming hallway decorating contest.
The friendly competition not only flooded the MHSN halls with school spirit, but it prepared the students and football players for the intense rivalry Homecoming game on Thanksgiving morning.
