The annual Haunted Woods went off without a hitch on Saturday, October 20th. It proved to be a great way to celebrate the Halloween season with residents in Middletown of all ages coming out to have fun and get a good scare.
When the event started, the “Happy Trail” began which was an attraction for the younger audience. This was a great way for younger kids to get scared but still have a great time. Also, after paying the $5 entry charge, children, or anyone of age, could partake in different activities such as painting pumpkins, games and other fun activities relating to Halloween.
For the individuals who were much braver waited until the sun went down. This was when the “Scary Trail” began. This trail consisted of a dark trek through the dark woods of Tindall Park. To most of the people that went to Haunted Woods, this is the part of the night that makes this annual event so memorable. Student that volunteered made different scenes throughout the woods including maniacal clowns, an exorcism, disturbed toymakers, creepy zombies, and many more! The creativity that went into the different scenes really made Haunted Woods enjoyable and unforgettable.
Haunted Woods truly did live up to its name, scaring people and giving everyone a great night to remember. Middletown is now completely ready for the Halloween holiday!
