The North boys’ soccer team, who started the season 0-3-1, has now improved to 5-6-1 after defeating Red Bank Regional by a score of 2-1. They have now won two straight for the second time this season, having also defeated Howell in overtime earlier in the week. In this win against Red Bank Regional, goals were scored by Senior Austen McGregor and Junior Georges Fiori.
The team played a very good game as they have all season, and have also played in a plethora of one score games throughout the season. This previous week has been very impressive to say the least, as the team won two overtime thrillers.
Kevin Papa said after the win, “It was a great win. We fought hard and there’s no doubt we deserved to win and came out on top, now we just got to keep it going.”
The team looks to get its third straight victory against Colts Neck tomorrow, which would mark their second three game winning streak of the season.
