This season has gotten off to a slow start for the Varsity Girls Soccer Team, starting the season winless through 6 games. The team received a bit of a boost today as they edged out Matawan by a score of 3-2 at home to pick up their first win of the year. This is a tremednous boost and confidence builder.
Their next game was supposed to be a huge divisional matchup against South at home but unfortunately it got rescheduled to Saturday, October 13th at 10 am.
They now have to play four straight games on the road against Freehold, Howell, Red Bank Regional, and Colts Neck.
Many students still think that they can turn their season around. “The girls have to string some more wins together and build up more confidence,” commented senior Nick Rozzo.
We will see what the rest of the season brings, stay tuned and go North!
